Initial Setup: SNG Exit Intent

After installing and activating the plugin, follow these steps to get your first popup live.

1. Configure General Settings

Navigate to WP Admin → SNG Exit Intent → General.

  • Check Enable Exit Intent to turn the popup on
  • Set your preferred Time Delay (how many seconds after page load before the popup can fire — we recommend 8 seconds)
  • Set your Scroll Percentage (how far down the page a visitor must scroll before the popup can fire — we recommend 25%)

2. Configure the Popup

Navigate to WP Admin → SNG Exit Intent → Popup.

  • Choose a Popup Type: Modal, Slide-in, or Fullscreen
  • Choose a Content Mode: Email Capture, Phone Lead, or ZIP Code Checker
  • Enter your Headline, Description, Coupon Code, and CTA Button Text
  • Set your brand colors to match your site

Click Save Settings.

3. Configure Notifications

Email — in the Email Notifications section of General Settings, verify the admin email address and customize the visitor confirmation email template.

SMS — if Twilio is connected in Sweep&Go Core, configure your SMS message templates in the SMS Notifications section. The plugin will automatically show a green confirmation notice if Twilio is active and connected.

4. Test the Popup

Add ?sngei_test=1 to any page URL on your site to trigger the popup immediately, bypassing all timing and scroll conditions. This lets you preview exactly how the popup looks and test form submission without waiting for exit intent to fire.

5. Go Live

Once everything looks correct, make sure Enable Exit Intent is checked in General Settings and save. The popup is now live on your site.
