Initial Setup: SNG Lead Recovery
After installing and activating the plugin, follow these steps to start recovering leads.
1. Check the Status Cards
Navigate to WP Admin → SNG Lead Recovery → Settings.
At the top of the page you'll see three status cards. All three should show a green check:

If Client Onboarding shows Not detected, install and activate the Client Onboarding plugin first.
2. Enable the Plugin
In the General Settings card:
- Turn on Enable Lead Recovery
- Set Mark Abandoned After — how many minutes without activity before a session counts as abandoned. We recommend 30 minutes.
- Set Resume Link Expiration — how many days a resume link keeps working after the visitor's last activity. We recommend 30 days.
Click Save Changes.
3. Set Up Email Recovery
In the Email Recovery card:
- Turn on Automatic Email Reminders
- Set the Email Delay — how long after abandonment the email is sent. We recommend 60 minutes.
- Review the Email Subject and Email Body and adjust them to your brand voice.
4. Set Up SMS Recovery (optional)
SMS requires Twilio to be connected in Sweep&Go Core → Settings → Twilio. If it is, the SMS Recovery card shows a green confirmation.
- Turn on Automatic SMS Reminders
- Set the SMS Delay — we recommend a longer delay than email, for example 1440 minutes (24 hours)
- Review the SMS Body
5. Add a Coupon (optional)
In the Shared Recovery Options card, enter a Recovery Coupon Code to give returning visitors an extra reason to finish. It is inserted into both email and SMS messages wherever {coupon} appears.
Click Save Changes.
6. Test It
- Open your Client Onboarding page in a private/incognito window
- Fill in a few fields (name, email, phone) and close the window
- Go to SNG Lead Recovery → Leads — your test lead should appear within a few seconds
- Open the lead and click Copy Link next to the resume link, then paste it into a new private window — the form should open with everything you entered
Tip
To test abandonment and reminders without waiting, temporarily set Mark Abandoned After and Email Delay to low values, then go to WP Admin → Tools → Scheduled Actions, find sng_lead_recovery_detect, and click Run.
