Make Integration
Connect SNG Lead Recovery to Make (formerly Integromat) and build visual scenarios for your abandoned leads — with branching, filters, and hundreds of apps.
Available from version 1.1.0
Integrations are available in SNG Lead Recovery 1.1.0 and newer.
Before You Start
- SNG Lead Recovery 1.1.0 or newer, set up as described in Initial Setup
- A Make account
Step 1: Create a Scenario with a Custom Webhook
- In Make, click Create a new scenario.
- Add the module Webhooks → Custom webhook.
- Click Add, give it a name (for example Lead Recovery), and save.
- Copy the webhook address Make shows. Leave the module open — it is now waiting for data.
Step 2: Connect SNG Lead Recovery
- In WordPress, go to SNG Lead Recovery → Settings → Recovery Delivery & Integrations.
- Under Who sends recovery messages?, choose External system via webhook.
- Paste the Make address into Webhook URL.
- Keep both Send Events turned on.
- Click Save & Send Test.
Make confirms it has determined the data structure from the sample lead (Jane Doe), so every field (first_name, email, phone, resume_link, event, …) is now available in the following modules.
Tip
If you add fields later or the structure looks wrong, click Redetermine data structure in the webhook module and send the test again.
Step 3: Branch by Event with a Router
Add a Router after the webhook and set a filter on each route:
| Route | Filter | Example modules |
|---|---|---|
| Abandoned | event — Text operators: Equal to — lead.abandoned |
Start follow-up (see Step 4) |
| Finished | event — Text operators: Equal to — lead.completed or lead.recovered |
Stop follow-up: update your CRM, remove a tag, mark the row as completed |
The test sample has the event test, so it passes neither route — that's expected.
Step 4: Add Your Modules
Popular examples on the Abandoned route:
| App | Module | Map |
|---|---|---|
| Google Sheets | Add a Row | Name, email, phone, step, progress, resume link |
| HubSpot CRM | Create/Update a Contact | Email, name, phone; resume link into a custom property |
| Mailchimp | Add/Update a List Member + Add Tags | Email, name; a tag that starts your follow-up journey |
| Slack | Create a Message | "New abandoned quote: {name} — {resume_link}" |
| Gmail / Email | Send an Email | A personal follow-up that includes resume_link |
Step 5: Turn the Scenario On
Click Save, then switch the scenario ON so it runs as soon as data arrives. Webhook scenarios only process real leads while they are on.
SMS Consent
The phone field is only filled when the visitor gave marketing consent, and sms_consent is true/false. If your scenario sends text messages, add a filter sms_consent — Equal to — true before the SMS module.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Test fails in WordPress | The URL must start with https:// and be the exact webhook address from Make. |
| Fields missing in Make | Click Redetermine data structure and send the test again. |
| Real leads don't arrive | The scenario must be ON. The lead needs an email or consented phone. Check the lead's timeline for Sent to Webhook. |
| Nothing happens after the Router | Check the route filters — real leads use lead.abandoned, the test uses test. |
